Freight forwarding is the process of shipping goods from origin to destination. A freight forwarder is the person or company that coordinates this process.

Originally, warehousing is the process of inbound, storage and outbound. However, at Rulewave we call it warehousing+, because to us it also includes quality testing, procurement, (re-)packing, assembling, labeling, and much more.

3pl stands for third party logistics. It stands for outsourcing (the majority) of the logistical process to a logistic operator. This also includes preparing the shipment, cross-docking, stock management and returns.

In-house logistics is the management of the goods by a logistics partner. This includes purchase order management, returns, quality checks, assembling, packing and more.

The ISO 9001 certificate gets awarded based on a number of quality management principles, such as the motivation and implication of top management, a strong customer focus, the process approach and continual improvement. The certificate bears witness to the consistent good-quality of products and services.

The ISO 14001 certificate gets awarded when a company meets a set of criteria for an effective environmental management system. It provides assurance that environmental impact is being measured and improved.

This certificate is awarded to international traders who work in close cooperation with customs authorities. This results in a reductions of delays in relation to border patrol.

IATA stands for International Air Transport Association. The certification is awarded to recognize excellence in workplace learning practices and compliance with international industry training standards.
